Haute Hijab designs hijabs for every occasion in a Muslim woman's life, from performance styles to more formal pieces.
Industry
Polyester chiffon is the fabric Haute Hijab's customers reach for, because it is durable and machine washable, which makes it well suited to a hijab. Most of the brand's polyester chiffon came from dead stock, which reduced waste but limited what could be made. The brand spent years looking for a more sustainable chiffon that did not cost them quality or wearability.
What we made
Soft chiffon hijabs in recycled polyester made from post-consumer plastic bottles, holding the handfeel and washability their customers already knew.
We spent years looking for a solution that would allow us to give our customers a more sustainable chiffon option without sacrificing their quality and wearability needs. Partnering with Waste2Wear allows us to bring our customers that same favourite product while reducing how many plastic bottles make it into landfills.
