The brand
Duotone has spent decades developing windsurfing and kiteboarding equipment, and has helped shape the modern form of both.
Industry
A windsurf or kite board bag has to be durable, strong, hardy and weather resistant, and it has to be light. The demanding water sports customer relies on it to protect expensive equipment. Those are not qualities the industry has historically associated with recycled material.
What we made
Sail bags and kite bags, made entirely from rPET, as part of Duotone's Save Our Playgrounds initiative. The 2021 kite surf and windsurf bags made from our fabric diverted almost a million plastic bottles from landfill.
We feel it is our responsibility to take action and do what we can to save our playgrounds. That's why we have partnered with Waste2Wear to make all sail bags out of 100% recycled plastic bottles (RPET). As part of our 'Save our Playgrounds' initiative our kite bags are made from recycled plastic bottles by Waste2Wear.
